V1connection, the app, seamlessly connects your iOS device to the new Valentine One Generation 2 detector. It also allows connection to the now-outdated Valentine One w/ESP detector using the optional Bluetooth module called V1connection LE. With V1connection, you can experience the breakthrough Threat Picture feature that revolutionizes radar threat analysis, helping you identify and dismiss false alarms. Each signal on every band is represented by its own directional arrow and frequency readout, with a flashing arrow pointing to the Priority Alert.

In addition to the advanced threat analysis capabilities, the app brings Dark Mode, Muting, and new programming options that allow you to customize your experience. One notable feature is the ability to relocate V1's front-panel warning to an eyes-only location, enhancing convenience and safety. Another exciting addition is eSAVVY, allowing you to set a speed threshold below which new warnings will be muted. The best part? All downloads and upgrades are absolutely free.

One of the standout features of V1connection is its downloadable performance upgrades for V1 Gen2. These firmware upgrades are exclusively available through the app and cannot be used with previous V1 models.

The Threat Picture feature provides a unique Radar Locator with illuminated arrows pointing towards each detected threat, while the Bogey Counter keeps track of multiple threats. The app also introduces a revolutionary way to analyze radar threats.

Radar manufacturers are legally required to certify the frequencies used in their equipment to the FCC. V1 diligently monitors these certifications to pinpoint exactly where real radar operates on each band. The Active Radar Zones are outlined with a yellow Box to draw your attention to them, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. When an arrow appears outside of the Box, it is likely a false alarm. On the other hand, when it's inside the Box, you should take it seriously.

With the advanced Situation Awareness capabilities, the Threat Picture display shows a separate arrow for each threat within range, indicating its direction from your car. The arrows grow larger as the signal strength increases, allowing you to easily spot critical trends. The visual scan of the Threat Picture enables you to identify which alerts are evolving into threats and which ones are diminishing.

Choose from four information screens to suit your preference. The Quad Screen emphasizes location, displaying up to four separate arrow sets - one for each enabled radar band (or fewer bands if laser is active). The V1 Screen replicates V1's front-panel warnings, including signal strength, Bogey Counter, Radar Locator, and the frequency of the Priority Alert. Alternatively, you can opt for the (Threat) Picture Screen or the Threat List, which presents a list of all signals in range, each accompanied by an arrow indicating direction.

But V1connection does more than just provide Situation Awareness. It acts as the Master Controller for your V1 system. From the app, you can modify programming, adjust SAVVY settings, change muting preferences, activate Dark Mode, create custom programming profiles for different trips, and much more. The audible warnings of your V1 Gen2 and V1 detectors can now be transmitted through your phone to your car's sound system or to speakers in your helmet if you're a motorcyclist. As long as your phone can be heard, you can receive V1's warnings directly.

To cater to radar bands used outside the U.S., radar coverage can now be tailored accordingly. Advanced users also have the option to modify sweep settings for frequencies used within the U.S., based on unique local conditions. The Profiles screen provides a menu of variables that can be adjusted. For example, selecting "Background Notifications" ensures that you can run other apps while receiving instant notifications from V1 whenever a new threat emerges.
